But the car was totalled in a terrible accident less than a year ago (luckily no one was hurt).
So what does L-STAR do ? Give up and ride stock ? HECK NO!!!!!!!!!!
Less than a year later he is back on the scene HARD! With a bunch of first place finishes under his belt with his brand new White Civic SI.
The damn car is SLAMMED on coil over suspension (the car is so low we need ramps to get it into our garage). Rolling on Exclusive 17 inch CCWs just wide enough to give the tires a nice stretch.
Bride carbon fiber racing seats, cold air intake, hids top and bottom, battery relocation kit, Yakima roof rack, upper and lower tie bars, JDM Bra and a bunch of other goodies.
After he got the car looking good and scraping the ground just right he came to see us for and audio upgrade. Since we did the audio in his Acura we knew exactly what he liked LOUD with a clean install.
Since he go his Si fully loaded the car already had factory navigation and Ipod control so he chose to keep the factory head unit.
We started with a Cache LOC 8 to flatten out the factory eq curve and give us 3 sets of rca outputs for his 2 Hifonics Amplifiers (a 1000 watt mono @ 1 ohm for the subs and a 800 watt 4 ch for the highs).
We then ran 2 sets of 4 gauge power wire from upgraded Odyssey battery back to the trunk after doing the BIG 3 upgrade under the hood. Each 4 gauge line is protected by a 150 amp anl fuse under the hood, then they both run to the rear mounted aux battery in the trunk. the two 4 gauge lines then pass into another 2 150 amp anl fuses and then one line runs to each amp mounted to the rear of the sub woofer enclosure behind the rear seat. We used the factory locations for the mid range speakers. We made MDF rings to squeeze the Rockford fosgate 6.5 inch pro audio drivers in the doors and in the rear deck after laying down 2 coats of STP sound proofing. The front dash tweeters were upgraded to rockford T series tweeters. For sub woofers we choose to go with Kicker solobaric L7 12d4. These thing are loud and they take abuse! In a 3 cf sealed enclosure we built for them.
